Antique Southport Brass Vesta Case - "Salus Populi" Borough Motto
Own a rare piece of Lancashire coastal history with this genuine antique brass vesta case. This pocket match safe features the embossed coat of arms or motto of Southport: "Salus Populi" (The welfare of the people).
Measuring 61mm x 37mm, this is a slightly larger, more substantial vesta case than the standard size. It represents the heyday of Southport as a premier Victorian and Edwardian resort town. The brass has developed a beautiful, deep patina over the last century, making it a standout piece for collectors of Tobacciana or Southport local history.
