FAQ
What is the design presence and history of this case?
Dating back to the mid-20th century (circa 1940s–1950s), this pocket match safe is beautifully crafted with a heavy brass base metal overlaid with silver plating. It proudly features the embossed trademark logo of "The Beacon" on its front face. Complete with a spring-hinged lid and a classic textured striker built directly into the bottom rim, it is an incredible piece of vintage tobaccoriana history.
What cosmetic condition should I expect?
As a genuine pre-1970 antique pocket accessory, this piece shows an authentic, vintage character. Signs of wear such as soft brassing (where the gold brass color subtly breaks through the silver plating edges), fine surface pocket scuffs, or natural oxidation may be visible. Please evaluate our macro gallery images carefully to inspect the hinge alignment, interior space, and precise patina layout.
How will it be packed for shipping?
To preserve the exterior silver plating and protect the mechanical lid hinge during transit, the vesta case is carefully wrapped inside soft tissue layers, enclosed in impact-absorbing bubble cushioning, and shipped flat within a sturdy, rigid outer mailing carton.
